Executive Biographies
Ed Ho
Misys plc, Executive Vice President, General Manager Treasury & Capital MarketsEd joined Misys in January 2004, when Misys acquired IQ Financial Systems, Inc., a developer and marketer of large scale enterprise software systems for banks. Prior to joining Misys, he was Chief Executive Officer, President and a Director of IQ Financial. Prior to that role Ed spent most of his professional career with Bankers Trust, and subsequently Deutsche Bank (which acquired Bankers Trust in 1999). During his 13 years with that firm, he held a number of positions in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and venture capital. He has been involved in many financing and capital raising activities, including, among other things, leveraged finance in the media, entertainment and telecommunications industries.
Ed received an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Columbia College, Columbia University with a double major – economics and computer science. He lives in Scarsdale, New York with his wife and twins.
Al-Noor Ramji
Misys plc, Executive Vice President and General Manager BankingAl-Noor joined Misys as EVP and General Manager for Banking in April 2010.
He has intimate knowledge of Misys and its strategy having served as a Board Director from 2005.
Al-Noor is a well respected senior technology industry executive. For the last 20 years he has been at the forefront of the internet revolution.He began his career on the financial trading floor and spent the 1990s transforming the banking back office function. He marries his knowledge of banking with a passion for technology.
Prior to joining Misys he was CEO of BT Innovate and Design where he was responsible for technology strategy transforming the telco into a softco. In his earlier career he served as Chief Information Officer for Qwest Communications, Swiss Bank Corporation, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and was the head of operations for Credit Suisse First Boston
Al-Noor is a chartered financial analyst with a BSc in Electronics from the University of London.
Pascal Xatart
EVP and CEO Misys SophisPascal Xatart joined Misys in 2011, when Misys acquired Sophis, a provider of portfolio and risk management solutions to financial institutions. Prior to joining Misys he was CEO of Sophis where his key responsibility was to strengthen the company's leading presence in Europe while accelerating its international expansion in the US and Asia. Pascal joined Sophis from Linedata Services, where he served as Managing Director of the Asset Management division between 2004-2006, building the company's presence in North America and Asia. Prior to 2004, Pascal held the position of CFO in Linedata and a number of other organisations, working on IPO's and acquisitions across all continents. Pascal was educated at the European Business School in Paris and the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received an MBA.
Bob Barthelmes
Misys plc, Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President, General Manager Open Source SolutionsBob was appointed Misys Chief Information Officer in January 2012 and still retains his leadership role for Open Source. Bob joined Misys in 2007 from IBM to set up the Open Source division. This division was created to revitalise the Misys brand, using an open source approach. Bob and his team are sharing knowledge of open source technology to lead in the development of innovative customer solutions for healthcare and the environment. During his last position at IBM, Bob was the Global Education Industry Vice President for the company’s Global Business Service. His career at IBM spans more than two decades where he held leadership roles in sales and business development. Bob serves on Dean College’s Board of Trustees, Hibernia College’s Board of Overseers, and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Life Science Alliance.
Carlos Lopez Abadia
Misys plc, Vice President Services & SupportCarlos is a senior executive leader with an impressive track record of working for companies in the Technology and Telco space including Accenture, Qwest, Level 3, US West, McKinsey & Co and SBC Communications. He was most recently Managing Partner at Accenture, where he managed a +$200M consulting and outsourcing business, and grew it by 45%.
His experience and skills in transforming businesses and dramatically improving customer satisfaction levels, will help take our Global Services business to the next level as we continue to “win more” against our competitors and position Misys as an industry leader. Global Services now has more accountability to impact our revenue and profitability and we are delighted to attract somebody of Carlos’ high calibre and outstanding track record to the Misys team.
Robin Crewe
Chief Technology OfficerRobin joined Misys in May 2010 as Chief Technology Officer.
He started his career with Arthur Andersen, working in the financial services practice in South Africa. He then moved to Swiss Bank in the UK where he managed the back office and market data systems. He was then promoted to manage all IT infrastructure for Swiss bank. He then moved to Switzerland as CIO corporate systems for Swiss Bank. He then moved to Dresdner Kleinwort Benson to manage IT. In 2000, he co-founded his own company, Propero, which specialised in virtualisation desktop infrastructure software for banking. VMWare acquired Propero in 2007 he then went on to to deliver consultancy services to technology companies.
Stephen Wilson
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial OfficerStephen Wilson was appointed Misys EVP and Chief Financial Officer in June 2010.
Stephen joined Misys in May 2009 as Vice President, Group Finance, responsible for Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Tax, Treasury and Internal Audit.
Prior to joining Misys Stephen worked at IBM for 25 years where he developed his financial career most recently as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for IBM UK and Ireland.
Stephen Wilson graduated from Cambridge University with a Degree in Mathematics and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Tom Kilroy
EVP General Counsel & Company SecretaryTom Kilroy was appointed as Executive Vice President General Counsel & Company Secretary for Misys plc in August 2009. Prior to joining Misys, Tom spent 8 years with GE Healthcare, a division of the General Electric Company, and with Amersham plc (which was acquired by GE in 2004). During that time, he held roles of increasing seniority, rising to become General Counsel, EMEA, responsible for driving growth initiatives and mitigation of business risk, including in challenging emerging markets. Previously, Tom specialised as an intellectual property lawyer at Hasbro Inc, helping the company to develop and exploit trans-national IP strategies. In his earlier career, Tom was a litigator at Hammond Suddards in the City of London. He began his legal career at Farrer & Co. Tom is admitted as a solicitor in England. He graduated from Oxford University, with a BA (Hons) in Metallurgy & Materials Science.
Frank Douglas
Executive Vice President and Group HR DirectorFrank joined Misys in 2011 as EVP and Group HR Director. He brings extensive experience from all fields of HR including compensation and benefits, resourcing and engagement. Frank joined Misys from Transport for London (TfL), where he had overall responsibility for the people agenda in an organisation of over 28,000 staff. Prior to this he was the Group HR Director and Pension Trustee for Scottish and Newcastle Plc (S&N), HR Director at Cable and Wireless and held numerous positions with Royal Dutch Shell.
In May 2010, Frank was elected as a Non-Executive Director of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Board.
Frank was the first HR Director invited to speak to senior staff of the Royal Household (and invited guests) at Buckingham Palace. He has also spoken at Oxford and Cornell University (in the US), as well as industry conferences. His early career was in a range of commercial and consulting roles in the USA, with companies such as Towers Perrin and International Paper.
