Opics Plus Sessions
Below you will find descriptions of all the Opics Plus sessions that will be happening at the customer conference.
You will be required to select your preferred breakout sessions during the registration process. Breakout sessions are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so you are advised to register early to avoid disappointment.
Plenary Session | Session Description |

Customer Satisfaction | Customer Satisfaction is a key to the success of not only Opics Plus but to Misys partnerships with our client base. In this part of our Opics Plus Plenary presentation, we will review how we have improved our Customer Satisfaction scores as well as the next steps to continued improvement. |
Opics Plus Roadmap & Vision | The Roadmap & Vision session will dig deeply into the topics of Opics Plus v3.0 and beyond including:

Upgrading to Opics Plus v3.0 | With many of our clients in various stages of upgrading to Opics Plus v3.0, the Misys team will share best practices to upgrading and will provide a status update on v3.0. Within this Plenary presentation, we will review:

Future Direction | The Future Direction session will be bringing the User Enhancement Voting back to its roots. During the Closed User Session clients will have the opportunity to put forward suggestions for the upcoming Opics Plus enhancement voting ballot. The Future Direction Closing Plenary session is a new and structured venue into the development of Opics Plus. During this session, Misys will review and discuss the proposed enhancements and discuss the next steps to estimating, possibly voting and developing the enhancements in a future release of Opics Plus. |
Breakout Session | Session Description |
Back Office Operations | Key to operations today is focusing on getting back to the basics of better servicing your client’s needs. This break out session will focus on the key components of the Opics Plus back office that enable you to focus on simplifying your approaches to navigating the back office processing. Attend this session to learn more about additional Opics Plus v3.0 customization features, integration and consolidation capabilities, operational risk management steps and other tools in place to help you navigate settlement risk. |
Customising Opics Plus Roundtable | Making the most of the Opics Plus solution means that many of our clients customize their processes to tailor the solution to suit their individual business needs. This interactive session will explore not only on what is new in Opics Plus v3.0 in regards to customization but it will also serve as a roundtable discussion on where our clients see other opportunities to integrate Opics Plus into their business operations. Some discussion points include:

Front Office Trading | Opics Plus v3.0 contains a newly designed, consolidated deal capture, front office featuring re-engineered blotters for greater performance and new services to enhance trader capabilities. Attend this session to learn more about what the front office delivers including advanced pricing capabilities, broader instrument coverage, real time market rate feeds and new publish and subscribe capabilities delivering better performance, usability and capacity. |
Installing Opics Plus v3.0 Workshop | This interactive workshop session will provide key tips and techniques to installing Opics Plus v3.0. We will share with you not only best practices as well as key steps to take to ensure quick and efficient installation experiences. |
Misys Academy | Opics Plus end-users play a key role in increasing the value of your software applications. With the right set of skills, you can give this group the confidence, knowledge and competency to achieve long-term success. As a direct result, you will see faster acceptance of the solution and new application-related processes. Misys Academy is an enterprise education service that can improve your Opics Plus performance across your organization. |
Operations Support Services | Misys Global Services focuses on helping our clients better manage their cost of ownership and system performance. This presentation will focus on the value added services delivered by Misys including ring fenced development, testing, application support to premium support services. |
Risk Management | Financial risk management and transparency is a topic that is on everyone’s mind today. Join us for this session where we will dig deeply into the topics of market, operational and liquidity risk management as well as new regulatory standards such as FAS 157 that must be adhered to. We will also show the integrated Middle Office Suite in action; including the new pre-deal check functionality. |
What's New | As the Misys team develops the newly re-engineered Opics Plus solution, we also continue to focus on enhancing the core capabilities of our Treasury and Capital Markets modules. Participate in this session and learn about the new instruments now supported, the new features and functions added since our last Global Customer Conference as well as what is in our pipeline for ongoing enrichment of the core modules. |
