Misys Funded Development

All developments are undertaken using Misys' standard development model. This consists of six key stages through which requirements are scoped, planned, delivered and tested with Project Management throughout the development lifecycle. We use best practice and PMI methodology for project management including change control.

The FD software development lifecycle is based on the standard Misys core software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Initiation: The Customer (or Misys, in conjunction with the Customer) completes an Enhancement Request Form outlining the business need. Misys produces high-level ballpark to give an indication of the likely size of the enhancement. Once the ballpark is approved, Misys works with the Customer to scope the requirements and solution in more detail and produces a Requirements Design (RD) or Business Requirements Definition Specification. Once the Specification is agreed, Misys produces a Requirements Estimate (more detail than the ballpark)
  • Planning: Misys works with the Customer to schedule the software delivery
  • Design: Misys produces detailed technical design specifications
  • Construction: This phase covers coding and unit testing of the enhancement
  • Testing: The testing requirements for the enhancement will be defined in the planning phase, but include link testing and system testing
  • Delivery: The delivery mechanism is agreed with the Customer during the planning phase but could include delivery via CD or remote access. After delivery, Misys will provide support for the Customer’s testing of the enhancement, as agreed during the planning process
