Misys Asset Management Systems Improve its Portfolio Management System for Private Clients

Greater analytical capability through one centralised interface enhances investment managers' performance.

London, 15 October 2003 - Misys Asset Management Systems Ltd, a global solution provider for the asset management community, today announced the release of a new version of the award winning Apollo for Personal Wealth Management - its portfolio management system for managers of private clients. The improved version delivers greater insight, control and flexibility to the investment manager and provides greater analytical capability through one centralised interface - minimising risk and increasing performance.

Major features in this new version include: improved client reporting; full management of corporate events from the middle office; improved analysis; and powerful relationship management. Now, data is integrated directly from the performance measurement and attribution module into the relationship manager screen. This delivers fast actionable insight straight to the relationship manager so they can manage their clients and investments more effectively.
Ex Odyssey executive joins Misys Asset Management SystemsTo support the ongoing development of Apollo for Personal Wealth Management, ex Odyssey UKMEA sales manager, Christian Bower, joins the team. Bower joins Misys Asset Management Systems as senior sales consultant for its investment management solutions business unit - Apollo. Key responsibilities will include business development of Apollo within Europe.
Christian Bower says: "The single greatest barrier to an integrated, customer-centric approach to wealth management, is the fact that many investment managers are supported by numerous disparate systems, supporting different investment processes. It's very hard to quickly and easily get a holistic perspective of a client's financial status across all investment instruments."
Bower concludes: "But the latest version of Apollo consolidates the investment processes on to one integrated portfolio management platform. So the investment manager can see all factors that can impact their investment decisions from a centralised interface, whilst improving customer service."
Stephen Young, director of business development, Misys Asset Management Systems, says: "Christian is a great asset to the team and brings excellent industry experience in investment management and private banking. His expertise will support the continued development of Apollo, to enable investment managers to become more competitive in terms of internal efficiencies and the level of customer services they offer."
