Misys plc ("Misys"), one of the world's leading global software providers, today (27 January 2005) announces its interim results for the six months ended 30 November 2004.

A conference call for analysts and investors, chaired by Howard Evans, Group
Finance Director will be held at 09.30hrs today. Details of the call can be
found at the end of this statement. The call, as the trading update below, will
not be used to comment on the trading outlook for the Group. This will be done
when the full year results are announced on 22 July 2004.

Misys plc ("Misys"), the global software products and solutions group, today announces that it has appointed Susan Cottam as Group Communications Director.

The statement that follows is in line with our policy of issuing regular updates on trading, for the previous six months, shortly after the end of the first half and the full year.  The figures in this statement are unaudited.  As usual, the Group will comment on the trading outlook when the half year results are announced on 22 January 2004.  Within this statement all comments relating to operating profit are pre goodwill amortisation The current year and comparative results reflect the restatements described in the 2003 Report and Accounts and during the 2003 analyst presentations (copies of which are available on our web site) in respect of the reallocation of certain Group expenses to the divisions, the implementation of FRS 17 'Retirement Benefits' and the change in presentation of the IFA network provisions.

Misys plc, the global software solutions and services group, today announces the sale of the UK back office products business from within Misys Asset Management Systems. The business is being purchased by a management buy-out team backed by Primary Capital, a prominent private equity firm.

On Friday, 10th October, a notice was placed on the US Food and Drug
Administration's (FDA) website, relating to the recall of defective laboratory
software by Misys Healthcare Systems.  We are providing the following
information to explain the facts behind this announcement.

The phased implementation, that has commenced with a successful ‘go-live’ in London, will conclude in Q1 2004.

Misys plc, the global software products and solutions company, today announces that Misys Healthcare Systems, has signed an Asset Purchase Agreement with Per-Se Technologies, Inc. Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., a market leader in clinical data management and a business unit of Misys plc, announced today that it has signed a significant agreement with the BryanLGH Medical Center located in Lincoln, Nebraska.  

Qatar National Bank (QNB), Qatar’s largest bank, has recently signed a multi-million dollar contract with Misys International Banking Systems for the supply of a comprehensive new banking solution based on the company’s Equation retail banking platform in conjunction with Misys’ departmental treasury system, OPICS.

Misys IFA Services, the largest supplier of services to Independent Financial Advisers in the UK, has conducted a stakeholder survey amongst its members which shows that 79% of responding members report group personal pension sales are the same or increasing; and 43% of responding members report personal pension plan sales are the same or increasing since the start of stakeholder in April 2001.

TUCSON, Ariz (Nov. 14, 2001)—Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., a market leader in clinical data management and a business unit of Misys plc, announced today that it has signed a significant agreement with Pennsylvania-based Crozer-Keystone Health System for the purchase of the Sunquest FlexiLab(R) Laboratory Information System (LIS).

DBS, part of Misys plc, has won a contract to provide support services for Saga’s new IFA business. 

Misys Chairman, Kevin Lomax, today gave the following statement to shareholders at the 2001 Annual General Meeting:

Midas-Kapiti International (MKI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Misys Group, has implemented the Disaster Recovery plan for its New York office with effect from 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday 12th September. All MKI clients have been contacted individually and provided with information on the provision of support services in this immediate period following the recent tragic events in the U.S.A.

On 6 August 2001, the Board of Misys declared the recommended Offer for the whole of the issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of DBS not already owned by Misys or a member of the Misys Group (the “Offer”) wholly unconditional.  

Misys today announced the creation of a “centre of excellence” to deliver technology solutions for IFAs and product providers, based at the existing AssureSoft operation in Cheltenham. AssureSoft was acquired as part of the DBS Offer which was declared wholly unconditional on 6 August.

Many retail and investment banks have so far failed to grasp the urgency of preparing for the changeover to Euro notes and coins in 1 January 2002.

Four senior executives of Misys plc have been promoted to a new Group Operating Board, which will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Misys and the development and implementation of Group strategy. The change takes effect from 1 September 2001.

Misys today announced the sale, to Swinton Group Limited, of the “book of business” from its internet consumer insurance division, which formerly operated under the Screentrade brand name.

The Board of Misys announces that on 2 August 2001 the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry issued her decision not to refer the proposed acquisition of DBS by Misys to the Competition Commission under the provisions of the Fair Trading Act 1973. 

Misys plc today confirmed that its tender offer for Sunquest Information Systems Inc., a leading provider of clinical systems to hospitals and other acute care facilities in the United States, has been declared unconditional, with shares tendered totalling over 91% of Sunquest's fully-diluted share capital.

Misys today announced the sale of its leading general insurance Internet brand, Screentrade, to Lloyds TSB Insurance.

Misys plc and Sunquest Information Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SUNQ) jointly announced today that the Federal Trade Commission granted early termination of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period, effective 12 July, 2001, with respect to the previously announced cash tender offer for all outstanding shares of
common stock of Sunquest Information Systems, Inc. by Misys plc.

Misys, the FTSE-100 software services group, has appointed Paul Charles as its first Head of Media Relations. His responsibilities will cover media relations strategies, group internal communications and investor relations. He will report to the Corporate Communications Director, Alastair MacDonald.

Misys announces that it has agreed to acquire Sunquest, a market leading provider of clinical systems to hospitals and other acute care facilities in the US. 

Misys plc announces the closure of its Internet consumer financial services businesses, screentrade.com and theformula.com, marking its withdrawal from serving the end consumer (B2C) segment of the market. Misys’s B2B portal activities, m-link and i2i-link, are core activities and are unaffected by this decision.

The Board of Misys is taking the opportunity, in the context of the offer for DBS announced this morning, to provide the following update on trading for the financial year to 31st May 2001, the preliminary results for which will be announced on Thursday 19th July.

The boards of Misys and DBS Management announce that they have reached agreement on the terms of a recommended cash offer to be made by Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, on behalf of Misys, to acquire the whole of the issued and to be issued share capital of DBS Management not already owned by a member of the Misys Group. 

Misys plc Managing Director, John Sussens, has been appointed a Non-Executive Director of Chubb plc, the fire and security company, with effect from 1st January 2001. 

Misys plc today announced the sale of its UK-based healthcare subsidiary, ACT Medisys Limited ("ACT Medisys"), to iSOFT Group plc for £25 million in cash, subject to adjustment.

Misys has announced the appointment of Derek Pretty as a Trustee of the Charitable Foundation with effect from 6th December 2000. Mr Pretty is Registrar and Head of Administrative and Support services for Bristol University.

Misys has unveiled details of the branding of its new personal financial services Internet portal, which is to be named theformula.

Misys has announced the formation of a joint venture with six leading insurers to develop a B2B Internet portal which will bring Internet e-commerce to the UK general insurance intermediary channel.

Misys today launched its new Internet e-commerce service for Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), m-link.

Misys has announced that the recommended cash offer to acquire the whole of the issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of i.e. group not already owned by the Misys Group is unconditional in all respects. The Offer will remain open for acceptance until further notice.

Misys plc has announced the appointment of Sir Dominic Cadbury as a non-executive director with effect from 2nd May 2000. He will join existing non-executive directors Tony Alexander, Chuck Farr and George Gray on the Misys plc Board.

Misys is today holding a seminar in London, starting at 2.00pm, for analysts and institutional investors, which will detail the company’s e-commerce activities in its Banking and Securities, Healthcare and Insurance Divisions. Misys Interactive Trading Ltd (MIT) has been inundated with nearly 1,000 requests from IFAs eager to test m-link, the company’s new comparative quotation service.

Misys has announced a series of senior level appointments in both its Banking and Securities and Healthcare Divisions, positioning the company for continued growth and expansion in these marketplaces

Misys plc has acquired the UK stockbroking systems business of EDS Securities Industry Group (‘EDS SIG’), which will be integrated into its securities subsidiary, ACT Financial Systems (‘ACT FS’). The acquisition will position ACT FS as the principal bureau and facilities management services provider regulated by the FSA for CREST instruction transmission.
