RALEIGH, N.C. (April 19, 2005) – Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Newt Gingrich will address an “invitation only” gathering of Misys Healthcare Systems’ customers this summer during a special Executive Summit in Orlando, Fla.

The Misys Healthcare Systems Executive Summit will bring together executive decision makers from a variety of healthcare settings – hospitals, physician practices, homecare and long-term care agencies – to network with their peers and explore the challenges facing the healthcare industry.  The meeting will be held July 23 in conjunction with the 2005 Misys Healthcare Systems Annual Conference & Expo.

Gingrich, who is widely recognized for his commitment to a better system of health for all Americans, will address the executives and present a thorough roadmap using market principles and available technology to describe the transformation of health and healthcare.  In his presentation,  “Saving Lives & Saving Money: Transforming Healthcare in the 21st Century,” Gingrich discusses a modern healthcare system of the future, with the core values of being patient centered, knowledge intense, and innovation rich.
