Dr. David Brailer, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Tapped To Address 1,000+ Attendees
RALEIGH, N.C. (April 18, 2005) – More than 1,000 healthcare professionals are expected to gather in Orlando, Fla. this summer for educational classes, networking opportunities, previews of new technology, and a special keynote by Dr. David Brailer, the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The 2005 Misys Healthcare Systems Annual Conference & Expo will be held July 21-24 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. The event features more than 100 instructional sessions, as well as executive training tracks, product demonstrations, a hands-on computer room and numerous social gatherings.
Dr. Brailer will address the attendees Saturday evening, July 23, and will discuss “The National Agenda for Health Information Technology Adoption.” Dr. Brailer was appointed by President George W. Bush last year to help spearhead the President’s 10-year plan to transform the delivery of healthcare by promoting the adoption of interoperable electronic health records (EHR) for most Americans.
