(Feb. 2, 2006) – Emphasizing the value and benefits of an interoperable electronic health record, Misys Healthcare Systems, a market leader in healthcare IT, will demonstrate its industry-leading solutions in the HIMSS 2006 Interoperability Showcase. A featured attraction at the HIMSS conference Feb. 12-16 in San Diego, Calif., the showcase spotlights standards-based connectivity with real-world patient scenarios, using a combination of hands-on exhibits and speakers in a highly interactive environment.
Misys Healthcare Systems, a leadership-level showcase participant, will illustrate its utilization of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) standards and the importance of these standards to national healthcare interoperability initiatives. Misys will demonstrate its Misys Optimum™ solutions, namely its market-leading electronic health records solutions – Misys CPR™ and Misys EMR® – and new data sharing solution, Misys Connect™.
Gregg Martin, the CIO of Arnot Health in Elmira New York and a Misys client, will also speak in the Interoperability Showcase theater in the Sails Pavilion, Monday, Feb. 13, at 2:00 p.m. During his presentation, Martin will share how Arnot is utilizing Misys™ solutions to create an interoperable healthcare system that improves patient safety while reducing costs through the use of EHR technologies.
