The Momentum Continues: Misys Healthcare Signs More than 60 Contracts in First Quarter of 2007

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 10, 2007) - Misys Healthcare, a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced more than 60 new business wins during January, February and March 2007. These deals demonstrate Misys’ industry leadership and underscore that Misys is turning the vision of a truly connected healthcare community into a reality. Misys solutions help caregivers increase efficiency and data sharing, ultimately improving patient care and safety. This momentum is comprised of both new customers choosing Misys solutions and expanded contracts with existing clients, which are evidence of the value Misys delivers to its customers.

POH Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan, recently expanded its contract with Misys Healthcare to provide better healthcare to its patients through community data sharing. POH Medical Center, which provides primary and specialty health care services guided by the principles of Osteopathic Medicine, is implementing several solutions from Misys this spring among affiliate physicians in satellite offices, including Misys Vision® for practice management and Misys EMR®. In the fall, the hospital will use Misys Connect® to share data among the medical center’s 300 physicians, 1,200 support staff and 10 affiliated satellite offices.

In addition, nearly a dozen hospitals and health systems across the United States and Canada selected solutions from Misys Healthcare. New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation, Toronto’s University Health Network, and several others are implementing products including the “Best in KLAS” Misys Lab®, with modules including Misys CoPath™, and Misys CPR™.
Another new Misys client is The Hedges Clinic, the largest family practice in Frankfort, Illinois. The Hedges Clinic is one of the first groups to go live as part of the Silver Cross Hospital community RHIO (see Misys announcement 12/4/06). Critical patient data will now be available to all members of the medical community through Misys Connect, which will dramatically improve time-to-wellness and decrease patient risk due to lack of information.
The Hedges Clinic and more than 30 other physician practices have selected products from Misys Healthcare to help access more up-to-date and accurate patient information and work toward creating a connected healthcare community. Medical practices such as Pediatricians Care Unit in Longwood, Florida, and Seattle Indian Health Board in Seattle, Washington are adopting products including the CCHIT-certified Misys EMR and popular practice management systems Misys Tiger® and Misys Vision.
Fifteen homecare organizations, including Assisted Daily Living in Warwick, Rhode Island and Zia Hospice in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will benefit from Misys Homecare™, which provides immediate access to patient information with an easy-to-use, fully integrated, intuitive clinical and business solution so clinicians can spend the time where they are needed most.
