Misys launches SecureLink to replace Electronic Customer Support

As part of our continuing efforts to improve the support provided to our customers, we recently undertook a project to find an alternative mechanism for enabling remote access across our product range. This was particularly important for those customers whose products are based on the IBM iSeries platform. Currently we use ECS (Electronic Customer Support) to gain access to those sites, however, ECS is reliant on IBM proprietary hardware and software and in it’s newest releases (i.e. from Power 6) IBM is no longer providing hardware or software support for ECS.

In investigating possible solutions we wanted to ensure that the mechanism chosen was flexible , scalable and resilient with full data encryption and session logging. Therefore Misys are pleased to announce SecureLink as their new method for providing remote client support.

SecureLink (http://www.SecureLink.com) is a proven system and is already currently used by the other Misys divisions to support leading financial institutions.

Whether you are affected or not by the withdrawal of support of ECS by IBM, we strongly recommend you review the documentation on the links below to find out more information about SecureLink. SecureLink has many added features over ECS such as full access audit trails, encryption of all data traffic as standard and gives you the customer full control of when access is granted.

Implementation is quick and painless and you can be using the new solution within a few days. Furthermore all licences will be supplied by Misys and as the mechanism is Internet based there will be no call charges. All you will need to provide a Windows based desktop terminal with access to the internet.
